St. Ursula was most likely fictional. She is reported to have been martyred on the way to Rome with 10,000 virginal schoolgirls, all of whom we3re slaughtered. Not likely, no other events like this recorded in Roman history, and the Romans were rather fond of keeping records. Our Ursula stands with her palm open to signify her lack of concealed weaponry. Her handmaid stands behind her with a foreshadowing arrow, while her second handmaiden records the event for Instagram. Her look says, "This is my life, I know what I am doing." She is the patron saint of schoolgirls, as we all know, they can use all the help they can get.
